The Purple Pride Marching Band held our first car wash of the year on August 15, 2026, and Augusta certainly brought the heat! ☀️ Despite the soaring temperatures, our students rolled up their sleeves, grabbed their sponges, and got to work.

Throughout the day, the students washed car after car while enjoying time together, working as a team, and raising funds to support our band program. There was plenty of hard work, but there were also plenty of smiles and laughter along the way.

And then came a very welcome surprise: the dessert truck! 🍋🥤❄️

When the truck pulled over to serve our students, it provided the perfect break from the summer heat. Cold treats, lemonades, and slushies quickly became the stars of the moment before everyone headed back to the buckets and hoses.

Most importantly, the day was made possible by the incredible support of our community. To everyone who stopped by to have a vehicle washed, made a donation, encouraged our students, or otherwise supported the Purple Pride Marching Band, thank you. Every contribution helps provide opportunities and resources for our students and keeps the music moving forward.

We washed a lot of cars, raised funds for our band, made some great memories, and experienced firsthand what happens when band and community come together.
